Ford has tasked its engineers with improving fuel efficiency in its F-150 trucks, and across the board, efficiency has been boosted in the F-150 by at least 5 - 10 mpg in all powertrains. The F-150 may be able to tow between 5,300 and 11,300 pounds, but this depends on which powertrain drivers choose. The max payload for the F-150 is 3,325 pounds.
