    • Nearly perfect car - EV or ICE.

Like may others, I searched for an EV that was not a Tesla and addresses range anxiety, charging time, warranty period, and features - in that order. It came down to the ID.4, Ioniq 5, and EV6. Software update problems eliminated the ID.4. Styling made me select the EV6. After 9 months driving one nearly every day, I LOVE my EV6. I've driven 190 miles one-way over some hills as well as flat highways on one charge (90% to 18%) with the A/C on and slightly over the speed limit. That same charge level would get me nearly 250 miles around town. But climbing hills and moving a ton of car at highway speeds chews up energy - even on a Tesla. ONLY ONE BUG: the intermittent USB CONNECTION DROPS that plagues many Hyundai and KIA models. Still not officially resolved. And the most recent software update has made it even worse!
    • Disappointment

I had all the good intentions despite some of my car friends telling me not to buy a KIA. There are two main problems: one is reliability. Especially of the electrical system. I forgot the component that gets recalled in the electrical ,system but it seems to have an issue. Just about a week ago,, there is was this major electrical warning light that cam on in my car. I was really worried I was going to be stranded late at night. Thankfully it was not. This has to be second time I have to bring this in. The car is only two years old. Second are the dealerships. First, they don't have enough mechanics for the EVs; second, they do not automatically give a loaner car. They just don't know how to take care of individuals who spend money on cars. Not worth the price. Next time I am buying a Lexus.
    • The GT is a sleeper and a supercar

The AWD GT is a sleeper in Eco mode and a fire breathing monster in GT mode. Great driving experience… fun and fast paced it’s excellent handling when you want it and a more casual ride daily driving. The looks and styling of the car is a head turner. Interior upholstery and design is high quality and modern. The only major issue(s) I have had is with the electronics on the vehicle. The first generation seemed to be plagued with all kinds of odd electronic gremlins. I had an issue with the stereo that required three separate trips to the dealership where the wiring harness/electrical connections was looked at, the head unit was replaced and then ultimately the amplifier in the sound system was replaced. Even more frustrating because I had already researched the issue and found a TSB and told Matthews Kia this was likely the issue based on the problem I was hearing with the sound randomly switching from the front speakers to the rear. I had another issue with the ICCU needing to be recalled and the 12V battery not holding its charge and needing to be replaced.
