What is a Stripped Chassis Vehicle?

A stripped chassis vehicle is what you will get when you find only the chassis. That means the frame, steering wheel, engine, wheels, and tires. It is a bare-bones setup, but for those who are building a frame or a certain type of vehicle, this is the base that you would start with. These vehicles are the baseline for many industries and small businesses that put together options where the final product is a vehicle that suits commercial needs or personal use.

We sell stripped chassis options like the Ford F-59 because there are places in our area that utilize them and built-out options, and it's among the standouts on the market. That's because it includes a 7.3-liter V8 gas engine with 335 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque. It is also a single-channel, ladder-type frame, which is optimal for many types of vehicle production.

What Can Be Built with a Ford F-59 Stripped Chassis?

A stripped chassis is a frame that you do see out on the road often, but you probably don't realize it. For example, the F-59 stripped chassis is used for parcel services and carriers with their big package cars. Also, if you've gone to a large food truck, it is very likely a stripped chassis vehicle. Smaller school buses also often have their frames from stripped chassis vehicles. These help businesses on the move, but they are also used for personal travel.

Many motorhomes and RVs are built using stripped chassis options like the Ford F-59. It makes sense given how unique many motorhomes and RVs look and when you think about the setup and how the frame of a stripped chassis is the baseline to build out.
